John and Neg are veterinary ophthalmology specialists who both began their careers in general practice. That shared background shapes everything they teach. They understand what eye cases feel like in a busy consult, what GP vets realistically have available, and the difference between interesting theory and knowledge you can apply practically
Their routes into specialist practice span the UK, Europe, the USA and Australia, bringing broad clinical experience and two complementary perspectives to Eye Vet Club. Between them, their areas of special interest cover both medical and surgical ophthalmology; including the management of cataracts, glaucoma, corneal disease and complex eyelid reconstruction.
Together, they created Eye Vet Club to make specialist ophthalmology knowledge more practical, accessible and affordable for veterinarians in practice. With John in the UK and Neg in Australia, members also benefit from two specialists working across very different time zones, meaning someone is always at hand to answer your clinical questions!
Eye Vet Club and eyevetmum are built in memory of Dr Christine Heinrich DipECVO, who always had a passion for teaching ophthalmology to veterinarians around the world. A proportion of proceeds from Eye Vet Club will be donated to bowel cancer research.
